Dear Supporters,

Thank you to everyone who has donated to the 2019 Campaign to Re-Elect Jody Wilson-Raybould. With your support for a different way of doing politics and your generosity we have now exceeded our fundraising targets and will no longer be accepting monetary contributions.

We are overwhelmed by the number of people who have donated to our Campaign from all across the country, from coast-to-coast-to-coast.

Nick, from Vancouver Granville, when asked why he donated told us that, “there was something about the way she stood up for what was right – it’s like she’s a beacon of light – donating seemed like the right thing to do.”

Janet from Halifax, said, “(Jody) is very very capable and honest. With high principles. That’s why I wanted to support her.”

For June, from Regina, it was because of, “the fact that somebody who works in politics was willing to be honest, and show integrity, that to me speaks volumes. It gives me hope. It’s not easy to do, but you have to have integrity, and do what you know is right.”

We were also touched to hear from Kari, in Whitehorse, who said, “I donated to JWR’s campaign because she is a leader who embodies the passion, vision, integrity, and commitment to the political transformation that Canada needs. I believe Canada needs her voice in Ottawa. As citizens across Canada learn and recognize our responsibility to reconciliation, we will look to leaders like JWR to guide us on this path.”

We want to thank everyone who has donated as we can not do this without you. We encourage those who were unable to donate to our Campaign to please consider donating to other candidates who represent your values and a different way of doing politics by colouring outside of the party lines. What is so inspiring to all of us at the JWR Campaign is that so many people with different political perspectives are inspired to support an Independent Candidate. If you would like to support our Campaign in other ways, including volunteering, please sign up or contact our Campaign office. Together we can and will make a difference.

From the bottom of my heart, and on behalf of everyone on #TeamJody,

With deep gratitude I say Gilakas’la,

Jody Wilson-Raybould

Note: We have heard from many of you that you would like an opportunity to send a message of support, in lieu of a donation. We have turned commenting on for this page to allow you to do so. We are so thankful to have such a wonderful community of supporters, and invite you to comment on why you came here to donate today, or why you're inspired by this campaign.

    Good Morning Ms. Wilson-Raybould,

I wanted to send you my congratulations from Alberta. Though we likely disagree on some economic policies, I was absolutely moved by the ethical standards you espoused while serving as Minister of Justice. It is that type of moral compass I would like to see every Canadian Politician strive for. You have become one of the few political role models that we can proudly have our youth look up to. I wish you nothing but the best in your extended tenure as MP Vancouver Granville.

    Kind Regards,

    Joe Doenz

Tremendous courage, a good heart, a strong compass and an intrinsic knowledge of what is right – talents so very absent from our politics in Canada. As a former ministerial chief of staff (External Relations and International Development) and a senior policy advisor in the office of the Prime Minister, I can attest to the rarity in political life of the gifts you possess. I very much hope that you are elected come Monday night and that your voice will resound and be heard for the principles you believe in. All best wishes!

Dear Ms. Wilson-Raybould, Thank you very much for your service to Canada as Minister of Justice and Attorney General. I very much appreciate your principled approach to the rule of law in Canada. If I lived in your riding, I would definitely vote for you whether you run as an Independent candidate or for a specific party. I wish you good luck in this 2019 campaign and if you are elected, I encourage you to exercise your influence as much as possible in Parliament. (One independent MP can make a difference – think Chuck Cadman!).
As background, I have worked in the engineering field (now retired) for over 40 years in resource development in Canada and around the world. I have seen the negative impact of unprincipled practices and the effects on projects, people, companies and countries. Canada needs to be a leader in promoting and modeling principled behaviours. Specifically regarding indigenous people in various countries, I have seen many impacts for indigenous populations. I believe that you are in an excellent position to influence social, environmental and economic issues, including ownership, for indigenous populations.
All the best to you! J. Wynn Morgan

You showed tremendous moral character in standing up to PM Justin Trudeau in the SNC-Lavalin affair. If I were in your riding, I would vote for you. Keep up your excellent work!

I just got on your site to donate and you’ve shut off donations. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a politician stop taking donations!!

It’s too bad that I live in Calgary otherwise I’d be going door to door for you. We need more politicians like you.

Canada needs you and other ethical, intelligent and principled independents to get elected in enough numbers to reform our anachronistic and dysfunctional parliamentary system. It isn’t even good democracy anymore. The party system has got to go, for the reasons outlined in your essay “Good Governance Matters”. I believe you are the one to lead a new group “the Independents” in the next election . You get elected and then work toward that goal.
Refusing further donations – talk about ethical! I was ready to send you the maximum I could – and I live in Ontario.

Bravo Jody. I was too late to contribute to the campaign. So if there is a fund or an agency that you believe does good work supporting Public Health for First Nations youth in British Columbia please tell me. I will send to them the funds that I had intended to donate to your campaign.

Looking forward to continuing to follow your Parliamentary career.
